43 customers ask Cameron County court to protect them from foreclosure

Cameron County Court is asked to step in and protect the 65 customers of La Feria’s Park Girl Mobile Homes in a lawsuit filed by Texas RioGrande Legal Aid on behalf of 43 customers of Park Girl.

The customers are worried about their mobile home purchases, as expressed in the lawsuit.

“Because Defendants JOE LEIGH ARES and PARK GIRL SALES LLC have engaged in the unlawful acts and practices described above, these Defendants have violated the law as alleged in this Petition. Unless restrained by this Court, Defendants will continue collecting payments on illegal transactions which have left Plaintiffs without title to their homes, have left Plaintiffs exposed to mortgage foreclosure as well as tax foreclosure of their homes thereby depriving Plaintiffs of their residence because of Defendants JOE LEIGH ARES’ and PARK GIRL SALES, LLC’s use of deceptive trade practices and illegal actions, thereby causing immediate, irreparable injuries, loss and damage to Plaintiffs”, the copy of the lawsuit published by the Valley Central says.

The newspaper notes that many of the clients claims that they ever received their home were never given the title to the property or even provided with property that carried previous debts, including taxes and mortgage liens.

The 43 customers are asking the court to protect them from foreclosure, and the shutting of of utilities.
